The Jül Spa Pillow Cover utilizes patented HoverStetch technology, with a blend of two layers of specially engineered materials. As you move your face on the Jül Spa Pillow Cover throughout the night, the pressures that are created from other pillow cases are released, as the materials work in unison to reduce friction. The outer layer stretches and glides across the inner woven layer, greatly reducing the skin bunching caused by other pillow cases.

The two layers of specially woven material contained in the Jül Spa Pillow Cover has two layers of specially woven materials that allow the “slip” registered when calculating the coefficient of friction to be between two materials, (instead of between skin and the material, like in other pillow cases) as our outer layer stretches and glides across our inner layer and is not intended to “slip” on the skin.
The data for a traditional silk-skin coefficient was calculated by the National Institute of Health (NIH) and is 0.68. The Jül Spa Pillow Cover fabric blend coefficient of friction is calculated by using the method described by the government publication “Coefficient of friction of fabrics,” with serial test results indicating a coefficient of friction between 2.4 and 3.1, which is less than half that of silk on skin.
